On Saturday, June 1, Post 1540 provided a Wreath Laying Memorial in honor of SGT Glen J. Hoover at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. The memorial was held within the Chapel and "livestreamed” to his surviving family. This event was requested by the Activities Director of a Senior Living Home of Ms. Jean Myers, oldest surviving sister of Glen. Many family members, including Jean’s younger surviving sister were able to attend virtually, while Glen’s grand-niece Ms. Jen Myers was able to attend in person. The Post was honored to provide this memorial and received much heartfelt gratitude from the family. A special word of thanks to Post Chaplain Pat Soong for coordinating and conducting this memorial service.
