Honolulu Post 1540, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be cleaning the Korea-Vietnam Memorial on he grounds of the Hawaii State Capitol on Saturday, October 8, 2016. We join comrades from posts all over the United States in the VFW for a Day to Change Direction.
This is a national day of service and action to change the dialogue on mental
health for America’s veterans and American communities. We will be talking about "Know the Five Signs” of emotional
suffering and hosting this community service event to help educate
the public on the Five Signs of emotional suffering.
Collectively, we
believe in gathering together veterans and their families, community
members, and clinicians to connect in a positive environment.
Furthermore, we want to use this as an opportunity to encourage all
Americans to pay attention to their emotional well-being as well as the
emotional well-being of others.
